  • There will be a meeting of the membership of Groton General, Inc., d/b/a Groton Growers Farmers Market at the Groton Community Building at 5 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, to elect a new board of directors and officers for the upcoming year.

  • Solar Farm on Former Town Land fill: Groton is planning to lease the old land fill to Green Mountain Community Solar for a solar farm similar to the site on the East side of the village. This site will generate revenue for the town and power will be used locally. More information on the details of this project can be obtained by contacting any of the Select Board members. Comments can be made to the Public Service Board as described in the solar farm application.
  • You can now fax & scan at the Groton library!  Thanks to the Friends of the Library fundraising efforts, the library can now offer this service to patrons.  We ask $1 per page for faxes, and scanning is free.

  • Fri, Feb. 12: Kids' Nature Craft at the Library at 3:30pm.  All About Birds! A focus on texture: feather craft for young crafters & pen drawings for emerging artists. Kids of all ages welcome!

  • Fri, Feb.12: Art Class at the Library at 5:00pm. Charcoal Drawing: The Foundation. Getting to know the medium and its applications for still life drawings &drawing the human figure. Designed for teens & adults. Beginners welcomed – all supplies provided!

  • Sat, Feb 13: Annual Dick Page Ride-In Great Barbeque Chicken with all the fixings! 11:00am to till we run out at the Groton Town Garage, Route 302 by car. Snowmobile 1/4 mi E of Upper Valley Grill on 302. Cost: $10 per  person, eat in or take out. Hosted by the BuckaRoos of 302 club and assisted by the Groton Volunteer Fire Department.
  • Mon, Feb. 22: Book Discussion at the Library at 7:00pm.  Join us for a lively conversation starring the novel, "Sea of Poppies," by Amitav Ghosh.  Copies available by request from the library.
