  • Free Muay Thai Fitness Classes: Starts Sunday, Sept. 11th!  Kickboxing + martial art = AMAZING full body workout. 6 Sundays from 8-9am at the Groton Community Building. All abilities of teens & adults welcomed!
    Classes taught by certified Muay Thai Fitness instructor -- the fantastic Anne George. Learn and practice hand & leg strikes. (Not sure what those are? Think punches & kicks!) EXCELLENT workout for core, upper body & lower body! Sponsored by the Groton Rec Committee & free to participants from all towns. Hand wraps provided for up to 20 participants. Just remember to eat something before you exercise -- and to bring lots of water!

  • Sat, Sept 24 :Cross Vermont Trail Fall Foliage Bicycle Ride. From the Kettle Pond Parking Lot in Groton State Forest on Route 232 to Blue Mountain School at Noon for a homestyle cook out. 9:30 am: Sign In, Bike safety check and 10:00 am Start. Join in the fresh air fun of a fall foliage bicycle ride through Groton State Forest to the Wells River Conservation Area. Easy going, family friendly ride. Mostly down hill. Follow the Wells River from it's source all the way to the Connecticut River.  Free!  Information
  • Thurs, Sept 29: Community Building Gym setup at 6:30 pm of tables, chairs and place settings for the Foliage supper. All welcome!
  • Fri, Sept 30: Annual Fall Foliage Book Sale at the Library, 2:30-7pm. A large selection of old books, like new books, hard covers, paperbacks, CDs, DVDs, & coffee table books. Sale is sponsored by the Friends of Groton Library and proceeds will benefit our library's collection & programs.
  • Fri, Sept 30: Veggie prep in the kitchen of the Community Building at 6:00 pm. Bring a paring knife - All welcome!
  • Sat, Oct 1:  Groton Fall Foliage Festival!
