Bulky Waste

Bulky Waste Drop off is now offered as a standard service at the Groton/Ryegate Recycling Center during their normal hours of operation. (If not convenient for you, please inform them & exceptions can be made). There will no longer be Bulky Waste Days in Groton and Ryegate. The fee schedule for Bulky Items is shown below. Bulky Waste is described as large household items such as: furniture, painted or treated wood or carpeting etc. Fees are necessary for Bulky Waste since it is not able to be recycled.

If it is in a Trash Bag or can be put in a Trash Bag, It will be disposed of as Trash. (Trash Services are also available during their normal hours of operation).

Bulky Waste Fee Schedule

Construction Debris: $10.00 per 55 gallon barrel or equivalent

Mattress (small): $4.00 (twin or double): $5.00 (queen or king): $10.00

Sofa/Couch: $10.00

Chair (upholstered): $10.00 (wood): $5.00

Bureau: $8.00

Table (small): $5.00 (large): $10.00

Rug (small/up to 6X8): $5.00 (large over 6X8): $10.00

MINIMUM CHARGE $5.00

Water soaked items will be an additional charge $5.00
