Select Board: Leonard Doscinski, Debra Tinkham and David Spencer

Listers: Laurine Grant & Patricia Grant

Leonard called the meeting to order at 5:00 PM.

 

The letter from Patricia Grant was read concerning the lack of communication between Laurine and Patricia and the problems it has caused.

 

Linda filled the Selectboard in on Lisa Lord’s call reporting she had been bitten by Michael Kennedy’s dog and wondered if their rabies shots were up to date. Lisa requested that the Town do something with the dogs.  Linda called the Animal Control and the Health Officer and was told they would handle it.

 

Debra reported that she had put up the signs for the 2nd annual Town picnic being held on August 1st at 6:30 p.m. at Boulder Beach.

Debra questioned about the awards.

Deane Page will be receiving the award from the Fire Department.

The awards person and family will be invited.

 

Brent and Phillip will be asked to bring some tables up to the Boulder Beach Park.

 

Dave read a report he had written up concerning the oil leak and clean up.  Dave reported on the air and water testing at the Grants, Dressers and the Community Building.

Ross consulting will monitor the area for two years.

 

Leonard spoke about budget control and purchasing being centralized.

Roberta and the Selectboard discussed different options. This was tabled to the next Selectboard meeting.

 

Patricia Grant gave her thoughts concerning the Lister’s problems and then Laurine presented her thoughts concerning the problems.

 

Leonard made the motion to go into executive session on a personnel matter at 5:55 p.m.

Dave seconded the motion.

The Selectboard came out of executive session at 5:58 p.m.

Leonard expressed if the Listers agree, that as long as Laurine is available during the day most of the time and Patricia is working that Laurine takes the chairpersons position and if she has any questions she will call on John Westinghouse for assistance.  Then the Listers can get together once or twice a month and go over things. The Listers agreed.

 

Leonard made the motion to adjourn; Debra seconded the motion.

 

Meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
