Leonard called the meeting to order at
7:00 PM.
Mail was reviewed. Purchase orders were
signed.
Jonathan: We have six certified members
plus two non-certified members.
There was much discussion on places
doing EMT certification courses and trying to get people into one of them.
Leonard made the motion the FAST Squad
would be under the Groton Volunteer Fire Department.
Debra seconded the motion and Dave
agreed.
Leonard made the motion to purchase the
ambulance as a Fire Department asset for the FAST Squad use.
Dave seconded the motion.
Dave, the payment will come out of the
sale of the old FAST vehicle.
Debra and Leonard agreed.
Jim presented a petition signed with
about 130 names to have an article put on the town report as an article to get
the feelings of the people in town concerning the purchase of a police cruiser.
Kitty: Cartographic will be coming to
give a demonstration on GIS mapping program.
Kitty: Dave Spencer and I putting out
surveys to get the feelings of what people would like to see concerning recycling.
Kitty: Steve Desroches helped with the
printing of the questionnaire.
Laurine Grant submitted her resignation
as a Lister.
Dave made the motion to accept
Laurine’s resignation. Leonard seconded the motion.
Debra wants to give a BIG Thank you to
Laurine Grant for picking up and getting the Listers running again.
Linda will post for the position of
Lister.
Brent
and Wayne discussed VFIS insurance and VLCT insurance.
Dave: do the people driving back and
forth on Boulder Beach Road have over weight permits?
Brent: yes.
Dave: Linda we would like to see copies
put in the read file for the Selectboard.
Plowing of the area around the dry
hydrants was discussed as to who is doing it.

Brent: Grant paper work for the road
signs needs to be signed and sent back.
Brent: these papers are for Dave, as
they have to do with ancient roads.
Brent: both trucks have been over to
Clark’s truck Service for maintenance.
Paul Berlejung: Music in the Park grant
paperwork needs signing.
Dave:
explained about the last Building Committee meeting. We reviewed the proposed
sketches from the Architects on the Community Building. No decisions were made
concerning the sketches.
Land for the building of the Fire
Station was discussed. Dave made the motion to table this until January 17 th when
the recommendations come back from the Fire Department. Debra seconded the
motion. We will send a letter to the Fire Department and building Committees
requesting their input.
Mary Grant and Richard Kreis questioned
what the Selectboard wanted to see from the budget committee?
Selectboard: review the budgets come in
and make recommendations.
Mary there are a few budgets that
haven’t come in yet they need to be contacted so as to get them in.
The Budget Committee will plan on
meeting on December 14th at 3:00 p.m. at the town office.
Brent: questioned about doing an
article to put on the town meeting warning for the funds for the Boulder Beach
project.
Todd Powers sent a thank you card to
the town for the use of the gym by BMU.
Linda questioned about the gift
certificates for the employees for Christmas?
Leonard made the motion to do the same
as last year. Debra seconded the motion Dave agreed.
Orders were signed in the amount of $ 17,314.49.
Leonard made the motion to adjourn;
Debra seconded the motion. Dave agreed.
Meeting adjourned at 9:40 PM.
