These agencies or organizations are sponsored in part by the town of Groton to provide services as needed to it’s residents.  Click on the menu items at the left for information.  An overview of their services as is follows:

 

·      Little Rivers Health Care: state benefits, housing, transportation and numerous other personal needs

·      Home Health Care & Hospice:  in the home medical assistance

 

·      Northeast Kingdom Human Services: mental health, substance abuse, and developmental services

 

·      Agency of Human Services, Department for Children and Families: child care, child support child abuse also help with food and fuel

 

·      Area Agency on Aging: support to seniors 60 and older

 

·      Groton Food Shelf: food and some household supplies

 

·      Rural Community Transportation: Transportation

 

·      Umbrella: Services for Women and Families

 

·      AARP Tax-Aide: free assistance for federal and state returns

 

 

Vermont 2-1-1.  The above and other community resources can be accessed by dialing 2-1-1 or visiting www.vermont211.org.  Vermont 2-1-1 is a program of the United Ways of Vermont.  It is an information and referral program serving all Vermonters.
