Saturday June 27th, 11-2pm
We invite you to spend a day in Groton Village! This community event is designed to showcase all that Groton has to offer, and give community members the opportunity to discover the diversity and variety of civic, cultural, social service, business, educational and religious organizations and groups in the Village and region.
You can expect entertainment and refreshments, with a performance by Marko the Magician at the Groton Community Building at 12:30pm, and music from Michael Evans & Friends and Gordon’s Granite Calliope.
Activities will be available throughout the village, from the Baptist Church to the Community Building, with tables and information booths from participating organizations like 302 Cares, Umbrella, HomeShare Vermont, RuralEdge, Northeast Kingdom Council on Aging, Northeast Kingdom Community Action, Efficiency Vermont, Northeast Kingdom Human Services, Vermont State Parks, Vermont Emergency Management and more.
Enjoy visits to open houses at the Groton Historical Society’s Peter Paul House, the NEK Broadband Groton Connectivity Hub, and Groton Emergency Services. To make it easy for community members to navigate the village from end to end, enjoy the William Scott Highway Shuttle Bus, with service provided by RCT.
Get ready for summer with a new bike helmet at our Bike Helmet Giveaway! The Vermont Department of Health will be on-site with bike safety activities and helmets for riders of all ages, and information about sun safety.
